Buick - Roadmaster Service Concerns - Part 1
My first car was a 1991 four door coupe that I purchased in 1993. I've had various new cars since, but about eight years ago, I purchased a 1990 Lesabre Coupe out of California, white exterior, dark red (maroon) interior. Its the one that I will keep no matter what other cars I buy moving forward.
That 3800 v6 is bullet proof!
I'm a little disappointed that they skipped over the Buick Skylark Gran Sport of 1970 being the fastest production car of the muscle car era.
6:39 of course, those Portholes were borrowed off the V8 Lucerne, same part number and everything!
Love it 😊
I wish in 2024 cars were made this good.
I have this very car. I love it.
I got a LeSabre. It blows the century out of the water. The 3800 gets better mileage and the pickup is night and day.
The interior has all the charm of a casket lining.
Thanks for this video. I've owned my Ultra (2nd hand) for 7 years but didn't know about the controls! No manual. BTW my Buick has 245k miles on it. I've put about $700 into replacing water pump and lower tie rods in the 7 years of owning it. I love my Park Avenue!
I just got a 06 buick Lucerne CXL 2 weeks ago, it's a v6 3800
It's just not the same without Chuck
This was never “the finest” luxury crossover vehicle in the segment, and the 6-speed auto they brag about was co-developed with Ford. The steering wheel, HVAC, and infotainment were straight out of the 2007 high trim Silverado pickups. Overall a nice vehicle though.
I really enjoyed the 5 band EQ in my 88 IROC. It also had the option to broadcast AM stations in Stereo.
I love this car. It's just too bad it got stuck with that terrible engine
Love the Enclave. The new gen is so generic. Shame on gm
And the new one has a Turbo 4 only; Buick’s entire fleet is Turbo 3s and 4s only now which are tuned for “efficiency”
@@digitalrailroader Thank Regulations Boo The Pple who regulate rules over how efficient a car has to be are not car people. Shame on Them For real.
Buick lies so much in their "competitive" comparisons. I know for a fact traction control was available on all models of the Monterey because i was with my grandma when she bought hers brand new. Also they said the Monterey can't tow more than the Terraza's 3,500lbs which is a lie. It can tow more but Ford capped the max tow capacity to 3,500lbs because they wanted Mercury buyers who tow to buy a V8 Mountaineer instead. Besides, if you're towing 3,500lbs in a minivan would you rather tow with a weak 3.5 V6 or a super torquey 4.2 V6? They didnt mention that part. They also didnt mention the Monterey accelerates better than all the minivans here in normal driving because of that 263 ft/lbs of torque below 3,500rpm which is where most minivans spend 90% of their time. Noone drives a heavy minivan loaded with kids and gear pegging the redline all day.
2 door blowfish with power steering
Hmm you can see a computer mouse in some of the animations. I wonder what system / software they used...
7:50 "now torque those suckers down!" 😂
I have the lacrosse and I love it but damn that Camry’s gauge cluster is beautiful. Both great cars tbh
One thing to note, the Camry could be equipped with side curtain airbags as well as seat mounted torso airbags. To my knowledge the Buick only offered seat mounted side airbags….
Buick delivery isn't like this anymore. It's more like "there's the car, show me the money, here's the keys, now get out"
Man i had a 95. And even though it was a money pit (something always going wrong with it) i loved the hell outta it. Wish i stkll had it.
Same thing
I'm about to buy one
Crap like this is why GM went bankrupt. Nasty cheap van on old platform and GM knew it was crap too but too broke to fix it.
This is the reason GM went bankrupt. Building cheap nast stuff like this. An old platform with lipstick on it spread across 4 or 5 different makes
NICE NICE BUICK PARK AVENUE STRONG GENERAL MOTORS 😮😮😮😮😮😮BRING BACK 2025
If you want a brand new Buick minivan, the only country to get a brand new Buick minivan is China and honestly, they need to bring that minivan to other countries
Worse than the Aztek
Very cool and you do one and more on the 1989-1990 buick LeSabre
I have this same car
thank u for uplaoding this video!
3:24 in other words a (Real American car) not those little 4 cilinder front wheel drive unibody Chinese *poor man's*cars they sell today with GM badges on them...
Replace heater blower motor video 0:47 I want to replace a heater blower. Do you have a video 05 Terraza thank
I did have this tape when I was younger My cousin knew somebody worked at buick city in flint mi so give me the tape back in 2000
Spoiler edition
It’s unfortunate these designer’s “attention to detail” never addressed the HUGE blind spots in this car. I’ve never seen a vehicle with wider A-pillars obscuring driver visibility. Combine this with how the rear-view mirrors attached to these overly wide pillars must have left LaCross owners yelling “Jesus take the wheel”!
I just got a clean dark blue 08 Lucerne with the infamous 3800 engine from a old married couple very well kept it’s smooth and floats like a cloud
How are the door mounted seat belts even considered “automatic” seat belts? This has to be the worst example of lazy engineering ever by GM or any other carmaker. Just moving the seat belt from the B pillar to the door doesn’t make them automatic.
The belt "buckles" were intended as an emergency release only, the belts were to be left fastened at all times and you'd shimmy under them and when the door is closed, PRESTO! you are belted. (I had a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird convertible in college 10 years ago that had the door mounted seat belts and that was sort of how it was explained in the owner's manual) Beginning for the 1990 model year federal regulations required that all new passenger cars have either an automatic seat belt system OR a driver side airbag. Many cars had the automatic belts at first because they were cheaper than airbags which were not yet ready for installation in all makes and models, gave automakers a couple years before a driver side airbag was mandatory across the board for the 1995 model year, and dual airbags by 1997, pickup trucks got an extra year to comply
The doggo running in the beginning ❤❤❤❤
Love it. I bought one. Cxl 2005.
Heater blower cleann
The taurus looks much better! Has more power and has the wagon version. If i was in the market I'd get a Taurus any day over this fugly Century. Idk how it ever was cute in peoles eyes
Ty so much
Back when cars looked good.
The last generation Lesabre... This model from 2002 that looks like a 1992
Dude!
